The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is required to use a Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) to determine how to charge for activities it delivers to its stakeholders. Stakeholders include the commercial fishing industry, government, indigenous fishers, environmental organisations, and the Australian community.
AFMA is currently using its 2010 CRIS for cost recovery. It has recently been reviewed and a draft 2016 CRIS developed.
AFMA previously consulted on the draft 2016 CRIS which has recently updated it to reflect the budget for 2016-17. The draft 2016 CRIS includes changes made following consultation with stakeholders in 2016.
The draft 2016 CRIS is now available on AFMA’s website for stakeholder information.
