AFMA is encouraging interested stakeholders to make a submission to the Australian Government’s Productivity Commission Inquiry on fisheries and aquaculture regulation.
The inquiry will focus on opportunities to improve fisheries regulations without compromising fishery policy and environmental objectives. The Productivity Commission has now released the issues outlining key issues for Australian Marine Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Submissions on the issues paper are due by 31 March 2016 with the Productivity Commission’s report due back to government by the end of 2016.
The issues paper and details on how to provide a submission are available on the Productivity Commission website.
