Are you a teacher or student wanting to learn about fisheries management in Australia? Well, we’ve worked with Kids Media to develop some free educational resources.

The material has been put together by teachers and is available on our website and the FOR TEACHERS for students education resources website.

You’ll find lesson plans for subjects from maths through to history, activity sheets for some classroom fish fun, and fact sheets on topics including fisheries management, different fishing methods and how we help protect the marine environment that produces our seafood.

There are also fact sheets with heaps of bite sized pieces of information for people of all ages.

The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation also has some materials for kids and schools on their website.
