Chair of new national seafood industry body announced

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) welcomes the appointment of the first chair for Australia’s new national seafood industry body, Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) – Veronica Papacosta.

Ms Papacosta was elected as the inaugural chair of the SIA board after the board of seven directors met in Melbourne last week to discuss nominations.

The new chair elect is the current Managing Director of Sydney Fresh Seafood group, and has been a driver of the SIA project to create the new national peak body for the Australian seafood industry.
