Who would have thought there would be so many data hungry people out there! Since publishing the AFMA catch data on www.data.gov.au last October, there have been around 500 views. And with the newly added catch data for 2012, we hope to see a whole lot more of you over there.
Good data is essential for making the right decisions to keep our fish stocks healthy in order to make sure there is plenty of fresh seafood for the Australian community and a healthy fishing industry.
So what are you waiting for? Download the data from the www.data.gov.au website and find out more about the hundreds of species of fish that are caught in Australia’s Commonwealth fisheries each year.
