A big congratulations goes to AFMA employee Rebecca Atkins who received a commendation in the recent Comcare Work Health and Safety National Awards for 2013.
Bec is one of AFMA’s Health and Safety Representatives and helps makes sure that AFMA is a safe place for staff to work.
In her time as health and safety representative, Bec has developed a cyclone policy for the Thursday Island office, improved fire alarm awareness and response processes, improved communication between work groups and health and safety representatives, and instigated and developed a standard hazard inspection report for AFMA.
Well done Bec and thanks for keeping us safe.
