2015-16 total allowable catch determinations – Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery

The 2015-16 total allowable catch (TAC) for the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery have been determined. The AFMA Commission met on 25-26 February 2015 and determined the TACs based on advice from the South East Management Advisory Committee, the Great Australian Bight Management Advisory Committee, Resource Assessment Groups and Industry Associations.

A key outcome of the meeting was the increase to the sustainable catch limit for the fishery by approximately 2000 tonnes.
